About the black sprout

The Black Sprout is a new concept of fine food, delivered. We are not a traditional fast food restaurant, but rather spend more time on preparation of each dish to ensure our diners receive a wholesome meal.

 

“Sprouting” from The Black Bamboo fine dining restaurant at Menlyn Boutique Hotel, The Black Sprout offers a casual style of food, maintaining a high standard and top quality of take away food. We are staying true to our core value of an ever-changing, ever-evolving philosophy towards food.

 

The Black Sprout is far from the usual franchise-like, mass-produced, instant food. We value a boutique-style approach by talking to our customers and using their feedback to always improve, by sprouting and growing. We pride ourselves on our responsibility towards safety and hygiene in a strictly-controlled environment and adhering to compliance measures.

How to order

*Please note that we only accept lunch orders on Sundays and are closed on Mondays.

DINNER

Order on the day, before 3pm and the food will be delivered between 5:30pm and 7pm.
(Exact time will be communicated with each order).

LUNCH

Order from 11am until 1pm, delivery from 12pm until 3pm.
(Exact time will be communicated with each order).

FEES

R35 delivery fee in 7km radius.
R50 delivery fee outside 7km radius.
No delivery fee for orders more than R170.

From the 1st of June, you may collect from The Black Bamboo.

All tips will be equally distributed between our waiters who are currently not working.
Payment with Snapscan or Zapper only.
